Sand devil

Sand devil: a carnivorus desert reptile

Sand devils are medium sized reptillian predators, they bury themselves in the sand, to hide from larger predators, and to keep cool.

Sand devils are crafty predators, they like to hide in the sand, and wait for prey, the tendrils growing out of their head resemble a native species of sand grass, the green edge of the tendril, detects movement above the ground.  Their is also a growth on the Sand devil's fore head that it likes to use for a battering ram.

Sand devils live in the burnt, desert region of Zurlisk, not many are seen, because they take frequent naps under the sand, "and it's best not to disturb them!"

Female Sand devil's lay their eggs underground to keep them out of the sun. When they hatch, the babies  must fend for themselves.
